Japan's Trade Agreement with the EU
6th July 2017
The European Union has agreed a landmark trade deal with Japan. We have collected some study resources on this trade agreement and some of the likely effects. The agreement aims to eliminate 99% of the import tariffs between Japan and the EU and is expected to cover about 30% of world GDP and nearly 40% of international trade.
The so-called Economic Partnership Agreement is likely to give Japan's auto industry better access to European markets.
