A collection of teaching resources on the Zambian economy
As part of the Beyond the Bike project, I have been putting together learning resources to support the BtB journey - but many of these are also useful for teachers covering the OCR F585 pre-release case study. This blog note highlights some of these resources.
The Ministry of Air Transport resource encourages students to examine the impact of having airport infrastructure on growth and development in sub-Saharan African countries.
The China in Zambia resource provides a data-response exercise for students to analyse and evaluate the role that Chinese investment plays in the development of Zambia.
This Economic Integration resource looks at the role that is played by free trade areas in Europe and Africa.
Here is a resource on Special Economic Zones, of which Zambia has two, with varying degrees of success!
Finally, the Climate Change resource allows students to compare the impact of climate change on the economies of different countries, including Zambia.
Don't forget that you can also buy the tutor2u F585 Toolkit for this year's pre-release case study.
