|
| The A2 Religious Ethics module continues to explore and expand upon your knowledge of ethical theory; this time focusing on the practical ethics of war and peace, sex and relationships and environmental ethics. You will also look at the philosophy of free will and the arguments for and against the claim that humans are able to make freely undetermined choices and are morally responsible for their decisions. Furthermore, you will develop an understanding of the different scholarly views on the nature and role of conscience and whether it is of human or divine origin. Finally, you will come to a better understanding of how Christians make ethical decisions and will consider the extent to which Christianity can be labelled as deontological or teleological in its approach to ethics. | |
