Lobby magazine aims to provide an additional resource where, traditionally, there has been a lack of materials and help.

In the packed first edition, we have included articles suggesting how topics may be delivered;information on enhancing learning in the classroom through ICT and enrichment activities; useful ideas for visits and how they can bring theory to life; some great tried and tested classroom activities and ways by which we can motivate our students.

You may wish to use the articles and features in for ideas to use in your teaching, share them with students (all features may be copied), and also for personal enrichment and professional development.

We are conscious that the three subjects covered by Lobby magazine present special problems in keeping up to date. We of course include our own ‘Update’ section and all contributors direct you where to go for further information.

We also know that Politics, Law & Sociology are often being delivered by non-specialists, so Lobby will be a forum for widening and deepening subject knowledge.
