About this event

Each workshop comprises five intensive sessions which are highly interactive, stimulating, and cater for all learning styles. Through a variety of short activities (presented on the giant cinema screen) and a supporting workshop booklet, students will work hard at their own level of Maths through activities and extension.

The content of each session has been carefully selected to focus on delivering “marginal gains” in student maths performance to cover:

  • Common misconceptions
  • What the examiner is looking for
  • The facts, terminology and formulae students need to know
  • How to interpret questions and respond appropriately
  • Constructing chains of reasoning and communicating accurately
  • How to solve non-routine problems

We have three workshops to choose from depending on level of ability:

  • Foundation - students aiming for grades 4/5
  • Higher - students aiming for grades 6/7
  • Higher Plus - students aiming for grades 8/9

Course package

Each student place on the workshops costs just £25 (+VAT) which includes 4 hours of large group tuition, a comprehensive workshop booklet and supporting follow-up revision activities. Teacher places on each workshop are free of charge provided they bring at least 5 students in a group.
