Measuring Development for yourself

Development means different things to all of us. The OECD has created an interactive website called Your Better Life Index http://www.oecdbetterlifeindex.org where you can see how your country compares to 34 other countries in the indexes you feel make for a good quality of life. It includes a comparison on the basis of housing, income, jobs, community, education, environment, governance, health, life satisfaction, safety and work-life balance. This website is an excellent starting point for a class discussion.
