Two key topics to understand are geographic and occupational mobility of labour
a) GEOGRAPHICAL
People are willing and able to move between regions or areas in order to take a new job. They often have to move home.
b) OCCUPATIONAL
People are willing and able to move between types of jobs or occupations e.g. an unemployed coal miner becomes a salesman.
