Whitbread to pay the Living Wage

Geoff Riley

9th September 2015

Whitbread has announced that it is opting to pay the living wage for their employees but that some of the extra cost will be passed onto consumers through higher prices for some of the products.

The fast-growing owner of Costa Coffee, Beefeater Grill and Premier Inn has said that some of the extra cost of paying the living wage can be offset via efficiency improvements but that some selling prices will rise.
