Surge in minicabs increases journey times
14th January 2016
Another interesting insight here from the Guardian about the ongoing debate about the effect of Uber in the market for cabs: this time private hire firm, Addison Lee, claim that the rising number of minicabs has increased journey times. This implies that there's been an increase in the negative externalities associated with the sector and might give Transport for London more of a reason for intervening in the London taxi market.
