Bargaining Clout of Employers - Monopsony Power

A hat tip to Katherine Fey for tweeting about this excellent short article posted on the World Economic Forum blog. Most economists agree that the balance of power in the U.K. labor market has shifted toward employers shown for example in the rise of zero hours contracts. The article looks at monopsony power in and suggests we should pay more attention to it when studying the economics of the labour market.
