Christmas on the High Street

This is a great link for pupils to research how Britains High Street performed during the festive season.

The Guardian have created a really good interactive tool for students to look at how a range of high street stores have performed over the last year. Christmas on the high street and online - how did retailers do in 2011? could be used on a VLE for students to look at what is happening regarding sales of goods on the high street, this could be linked to a lesson on external influences on business and how the current state of the economy is impacting on the high street. Students could also look for trends and patterns in what is occuring. This is a great resource!
