The UK automotive industry is perhaps the best example of a manufacturing sector in the UK which is highly competitive and well-placed to exploit growth opportunities. Automotive output has more than doubled since the depths of the financial crisis in 2008 and some more news of substantial investment provides further evidence of a sector on the up.
