Nice item on the R4 Today programme this morning about changes in pronunciation - it can be linked up to class and the influence of American English too.  Could be a useful item/reference/resource.  It was broadcast around 7.47 according to the link here, so you can fast forward on the playback. Should be available for about a week i think.
