We get quite a few requests asking how schools can make our Economics and Business Studies blog content available to students and on departmental websites or VLEs.  Here’s the best way to do it!

How to get an email digest of new content
=============================

This is a really popular option.  We have connected all our subject blogs to Google’s Feedburner system (impressive - eh?). What this means is that the second a new resource is added to a blog, Google picks it up.  Each morning, it sends a email digest of the new materials, making it easy to spot items of interest.

Many departments encourage their students to use this Google service - it is so easy. Just follow these links to the sign-up pages:

Economics Blog:  http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverifySubmit?feedId=127684&loc=en_US
Business Studies Blog:  http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=Tutor2u-BusinessBlog&loc=en_US
Politics Blog: http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverifySubmit?feedId=447474&loc=en_US

How to Put the Content on a VLE, Blog or Website
===================================

This is where you need our subject blog widgets.  The widget displays the latest content from each blog - a great way of keeping your VLE or departmental blog up-to-date.  You can customise your widget (size, colour etc) to fit wherever you would like to place it. To get the widgets, go to these links:

Economics Blog:  http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/economics-blog
Business Studies Blog:  http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/business-studies-blog
Politics Blog: http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/politics-blog

You can see an example of the widgets in action (down the right hand side) at this excellent school website:

Best wishes
