You clicked on my Twitter profile, so here is a little background on who I am and what I do.

My name is Jim Riley and I’m one of two people behind www.tutor2u.net and the @tutor2u twitter account. The other half of this twins partnership is Geoff Riley (@tutor2u_econ) who is currently Head of Economics at Eton College.

You can take a look at what tutor2u does by having a nosey around our website - but let me take a moment to give you a bit of glimpse at who I am and what I do.

I’m a happily married 45 year-old Yorkshireman with two fantastic children. I’m a sports nut who loves running, rowing, footie, tennis…and devotedly following Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Cricket Club.

on Twitter

You obviously have an interest in Twitter because you’ve clicked through on my Twitter Profile link. I’d enjoy connecting with you there via my @tutor2u twitter account.

If you follow @tutor2u you’ll get a variety of things.

Firstly you’ll see a glimpse of the behind the scenes in my work as leader of the tutor2u team. I share a little of what I’m up to, share links of what I’m reading, talk about resources we’re developing and give insight into the life of an entrepreneur operating in the online publishing and e-learning areas.  I’m happy to field questions about the business, online marketing and publishing, or whatever interests you.

Our website and business

You might already have heard about tutor2u. We’ve been running for six years now and have developed into one of the world’s most popular e-learning resources. Our website gets over 35,000 visitors every day - which keeps the servers busy - and we provide learning materials to just about every leading secondary school in the UK.  We export to schools and colleges in over 85 other countries too, but keep that a secret from our competitors!  We’ve got a fabulous team, both in the office and also contributors and technical partners scattered around the globe.

Connect with Me

Thanks for visiting my about page - if you’ve not already don’t forget to follow me on Twitter so we can interact there.

See you on Twitter soon!

Jim
