US politics: pick of the UK papers

There were a number of great features on Obama’s successes and failures in yesterday’s paper.  Here are details.

Michael Tomasky has written a great piece on how the institutional paralysis that occurs in US politics has impacted on the Obama presidency.  I think this will stay in the teaching file for introducing the Constitution as a topic.

Media reports very rarely dwell on the positives of the US healhcare system for long, and this also suffers from the same approach. That said it is a good overview of challenge facing Obama.

And this is very useful reading for any potential student of US politics.  A good basis for discussion in AS lessons or for contemplation over the summer break.  Nothing short of a must read.
