Global issues: Nuclear Proliferation - Washington Nuclear Summit

President Obama is hosting a summit of forty-seven nations in Washington focused on securing nuclear materials from terrorists and criminals - a key part of this agenda is to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. The summit in Washington may produce commitment to a plan for securing nuclear materials, largely because of President Obama’s seeming willingness to commit the U.S. to nonproliferation and disarmament goals.
