A stimulus sheet - pictures / buzz words

Get pupils to start making connections between:

Dan Dennett on Consciousness
Hod Lipsun Robots that are self aware
Rob Forbes Ways of Seeing
Michael Shermer Why people believe strange things
Jill Bolte Taylor My Stroke of Insight

The Stimulus Sheet

Give them 5 minutes to come up with links between the different stimulus. Get them to talk through their links with one another after the five minutes. They will have some similarities and some differences. You could cut the sheet up and its turns into a more kinesthetic activity.
This classroom thinking can then easily be turned into an essay.
