A text to Movie application which is so much fun

I cannot tell you how much fun this application is, basically one types in (or pastes) text, and animated characters speak the lines, producing a short movie.
The practical side came when I asked GCSE students to assess their written explanations. Students can be asked to answer a particular Historical question, then paste the answer into xtranormal they can then hear it being read out - for the first time many could judge how their written work is read. We found that students would be more critical of their answers, they could see where arguments were not supported by evidence, also they actively sought to show others, producing collaborative learning. I also got some students to improve the balance in their arguments, simply by having two characters speaking. The application certainly motivated students, some even produced some in their own time, and got them thinking about their written communication. We also considered using some of the movies on the school website and at parents evenings.
