As most of us are now enjoying the summer break and therefore not in front of a class, I thought I would turn the attention to preparing for the new GCSE’s which start in September. Over the holidays we will look at some of the new topics and also some of the old ones.
Today is the turn of the OCR GCSE in Economics.
This new GCSE specification retains the pre-released case study element, which is 50% of the qualification, however the theme of the case study will remain the same each year, covering the international and globalisation issues in Economics.
Whilst looking for resources for this area of the specification I came across the Guardian’s interactive world map. You can click on a country and find out a number of interesting economic and social statistics for that country. This would make a great start to an independent learning task.
