Normal service now resumes. Having finished marking lots of great GCSE papers I am done for another year!
So I am sure we have all noticed the price of our weekly shop is constantly rising. I was shocked when I got to the till at Tesco this week!
Well it seems that the squeeze on our incomes in pushing people towards shopping at discount shops like Aldi.

Aldi and Lidl saw the greatest growth in the grocery sector at 20.2% and 15.6% respectively according to data spanning the 12 weeks to July 11 when compared to figures from a year ago.
Aldi and Lidl now account for 6.1% of the total grocery market while Waitrose increased its share of the overall spend from 4.1% to 4.3%.

All this information would make a great introduction for competitive markets
