Gaviscon huge fine - competition in action

This story really interested me as Gaviscon is my new best friend at present! Gaviscon producers have been fined a huge £10.2m by the Office of Fair Trading. The fine is all to do with an abuse of dominance by Gaviscon producers Reckitt Benckiser. For those who don’t know, Gaviscon is used for the treatment of heartburn. It was claimed that Gaviscon used its dominance in the market to act in an anti-competitive way.
