As the Royal wedding draws closer we have another great economics story to come out of it. The lovely blue dress that Kate Middleton wore for the engagement announcement has caused a surge in demand for dresses made by the designer - Issa.
Sales have increased by 45%.

This is not the only company to have benefited from association with the Royal wedding. The website promoting tourism for the Isles of Scilly had thousands of extra hits amid speculation Prince William and Kate Middleton could honeymoon there. Visits to the official tourism website spiked heavily following the rumour, with people trying to find out more about the islands.
