Demand and supply in action - Bagpuss
Recommend on Google+

Bagpuss, the old, fat furry catpuss is one of the toys on many children’s Christmas wish lists. Bagpuss won the hearts of millions of children in the 1970’s. Now, over 35 years later it is one of the big selling toys this Christmas. Sales are up 80% this year as there is a retro toy revival.
This shows the F in PASIFIC - fashion and trends. The trend has moved towards retro toys and therefore the demand curve has shifted to the right.
Past Times, which is selling a cuddly talking Bagpuss for £20, plus Bagpuss mice, mugs and other memorabilia, said that so far this year more than 7,660 Bagpuss products have been sold across their 140 stores - an 80 per cent increase on the same period last year and a 800 per cent rise on 2008.
