I am often irritated by people who tell me that we do not manufacture anything in this country any more. I point out that we are the sixth or seventh biggest exporter of manufactured goods and that we make about 30 % more than in 1980. This article from Friday’s Times makes the point far more eloquently than I can and is well worth reading.
