Wildcat strike in Spain

The power of strikes as a weapon in the armoury of rigid labour markets came to the fore again today as the Spanish military took over the country’s air traffic control after civilian staff called in sick en masse.
Relevant for explaining to students the effects on inefficiency and productivity these strikes can have (and perhaps relate them back to the UK’s own experience from last week’s Tube strike in London, to the 1970s 3-day working week.
