Universal child benefit payments have hit the news, and it made me wonder if there was some easily accessible data for income distribution in the UK.
The recent moves over Child Benefits made me wonder if journalists had any idea what a mean, mode or median household income looked like, or could provide a view on household income distributions. One of the posters on Mike Smithson’s Political Betting blog, flagged a IFS link which could help Economics Students consider what ‘average’ household incomes might look like.
After reading some of the pieces on the Child Benefit issue, it was hard to avoid thinking, hell hath no fury like a pressure group scorned.
