When a town’s unemployed chase the same jobs

The media are often quick to default to statistical analysis and summary of the rising unemployment numbers. We don’t often see the personal issues of trying to find a job examined….
So this brief piece on BBC News this morning comes as a breath of fresh air. A senstively-handled account of how several hundred job applicants in Boston (Lincolnshire) are all chasing a small number of new retail jobs in the former Woolworth’s store.
