A hat tip to Himesh Patel, economics teacher at Heathland School, Hounslow for selecting this resource on the growing scale of UK debt. Himesh writes:

“I can across this after a discussion in an economics lesson about how effective current policies to reduce our debt will be. Its got to be worth sharing with students and get them to think of the magnitude of the issue, the stats on the right side do hammer home the true costs to individuals, households and workers. If you follow the links it does give quite a detailed insight to how debt is calculated (and the sources seem credible)”
