We are enjoying experiementing with various news readers on the iPad.  There are some great apps out there which make keeping up-to-date on breaking economics stories or specialist topics both a pleasure and a breeze.

The trick is to make use of RSS feeds to define the content that you want displayed in an iPad News Reader.  Every online news or media outlet provides RSS feeds from their titles.  Often, as is the case with tutor2u, the RSS feed is provided both at an aggregate level (e.g. all Tutor2u Economics blog entries) and at a category level (e.g. all blog entries about the price mechanism or development economics).  We even provide individual RSS feeds for the work of each of our blog authors!

Good iPad RSS newsreaders allow you to categorise and merge RSS feeds in whatever way you wish.  A great example is The Early Edition, which turns those feeds into your own personalised newspaper.  It really is a pleasure to browse, with a quick tap on the link taking you directly to the original content source.  Highly recommended.
