Supporting Possible Oxbridge Economists

For colleagues supporting Oxbridge (or potential univ economists more generally) preparations the mathematics for Economics: enhancing teaching and learning website has some useful videos outlining how particular mathematical concepts are used in Economics as well as a useful question bank. Given the increasing prominence given to the mathematical side of life at (esp.Cambridge) interviews these days for Econ and E&M it might be worth sending pupils to have a look.

I also think the Economics Network website is fantastic - although it’s aimed at uni lecturers there is some useful stuff for A level teachers too, I especially like the handbook for econ lecturers that gives a superb run down of a variety of teaching methods, I wish I had known this existed when I was an NQT! Their companion student website has a few useful tidbits for pupils as well.
