tutor2u June 2011 Economics Teacher Conference

It looks like we’ll be having a fantastic audience at the upcoming Economics Teacher National Conference. I fact, i think we’ll be pretty pack as colleagues from around the UK make arrangements to come down to London on the 29 June 2011. The programme?  We have Rory Sutherland (star of the TED talks), Paul Ormerod (well known author and founder of Volterra Consulting, a leading authority in the application of complexity science to economic policy-making) and also Professor Danny Quah, Professor of Economics at the LSE who will be speaking on “The Shifting Balance in the Global Economy.” Our fourth speaker on the day is Ian Stewart, Chief Economist at Deloitte and author of their excellent Monday briefings!

The 2011 Economics teacher National Conference takes place at the superb British Library Conference Auditorium, St Pancras, London on Wednesday 29 June 2011. The aim of the day is for Economics teachers from many different countries to enjoy some presentations and discussions on issues of contemporary importance and also to refresh their passion and enthusiasm for this great subject!  The food at the British Library is usually tremendous and the venue is just a couple of minutes stroll from Euston, St Pancras and King’s Cross. There is a complimentary drinks receptions straight after the event for those who wish to celebrate the approach of summer and the end of the academic year. And an added treat this year will be the chance not only to pay a visit to the British Library itself, but also the newly opened hotel at St Pancras!
