PreU and Twitter
Recommend on Google+
For those centres who teach the PreU qualification (and even those who don’t!), the PreU Paper 3 stresses independent investigation beyond the classroom, covering topics such as China, Pensions, the EU, and Transport and the environment.
I am trying to use Twitter for the delivery of this paper.
I have set up a #tag for the first two since that is what we are focussing on. #PreU_China and #PreU_Pensions.
All my pupils are now on twitter and the hope is we will all contribute to the #tag lists by tweeting on linking resources/video clips/random relevant facts we discover on these topics.
I would encourage all your twitter pupils to try this too: all they need to do is write a relevant tweet on the topic and then JUST REMEMBER TO ADD THE CORRECT #TAG - so at the end of the tweet add #PreU_China or #PreU_Pensions (or #PreU_EU #PreU_T&E) depending on what the tweet relates to.
If you go on Twitter and search for these tags, you will see posts I have put on as a starter and a few from my pupils.
The hope is over time this gains a momentum of its own and encourages pupils to continue to share resources - and hopefully encourage independent research that the PreU stresses and the universities like! Watch this space…
