Nudge in UK
Recommend on Google+
Using the ‘nudge’ concepts from Thaler and Sunstein, UK nudge organ donations scheme has begun for drivers applying for new driving licences in the UK.
Drivers will have to state whether they want to be an organ donor when they apply for a new or replacement licence.
This doesn’t go as far as ‘presumed consent’, which would allow for the status quo bias effect, but does adopt at least part of the libertarian paternalism approach advocated by Thaler and Sunstein.
