JOB VACANCY - ECONOMICS & BUSINESS STUDIES - SHERBORNE SCHOOL
============================================================
Sherborne School Economics & Business department would like to appoint a colleague in September 2010 to join a large and thriving department and be involved in the wider life of a busy boarding school. The department, currently consisting of four members of staff, is the largest in the sixth form and is self contained with four classrooms and an office. All classrooms are equipped with DVD and digital projectors. We teach Edexcel Economics, AQA Business Studies and IB Economics. Economics is likely to be the greatest commitment but ideally we would like to appoint someone enthusiastic about teaching all of these courses. A level Politics teaching could also be a possibility.
The successful candidate will have:
* excellent communication skills and a love for their subject;
* enthusiasm for working with young people;
* appropriate teaching skills for a department with a 90% A/B rate;
* the stamina to cope with long hours during term;
* a sense of humour.
Help with accommodation may be available upon initial arrival in Sherborne.
Enquiries are welcome to David Hedison, Head of Economics at dhedison@sherborne.org or 01935 810443 and more details will appear on the School’s website in the New Year www.sherborne.org.
Sherborne School is committed to promoting the rights of children, and all staff are carefully screened prior to appointment.
