Google TV - Excellent example of a joint venture

In A2 micro we study the pathways that are open to businesses seeking growth. Traditionally the various forms of integration - horizontal, vertical, lateral etc - have held sway. But now joint ventures are become evermore significant and common place. There was a good example launched yesterday - technology company Google has joined forces with Sony Corp, Intel Corp and Logitech International to launch a smart TV with built-in web browsing and search. The first TV sets will be produced by Sony and should be available in the Autumn of 2010. Further details here from the BBC web site.
