Geely buys Volvo - a fresh sign of the march of Chinese FDI
Chinese car maker Geely has signed a deal to buy Volvo from US car giant Ford for $1.8bn (£1.2bn). It is fresh evidence of the foreign direct investment being made by Chinese companies in a bid to buy access to European markets and access Western technology.
