I was listening to the radio this morning, and ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ was playing. This led me on to an interesting idea for thinking about externalities.

Whilst listening to ‘Big Yellow Tax’, it occured to me that there’s several interesting Economics issues brought out in this song. Then I started to think of other songs that also had an Economics link. Here’s the ones I’ve come up with so far- it would be great to hear from other colleagues with additional suggestions. Maybe we could create an Economics album!

- Big Yellow Taxi, Joni Mitchell

- No Man’s Land, Billy Joel

- We Don’t Need No Education, Pink Floyd

- What do you do with a B.A. in English?, Avenue Q
