I was due to say a few words at a CanCom seminar this afternoon but the event was postponed because of the inclement weather. I planned to focus on trying to make stronger use of open source and cloud-based applications to try different types of assignments and this will be so much easier now that Moodle 2.0 is being rolled out by Moodle’s excellent hosting partners. Anyway here is a streamed version of my short presentation.
Many of the apps that I use at the moment are essentially free and I dont see why that should change much in the months ahead. Why pay absurdly high prices for software even with education discounts?
