BrandZ Top 100 have released their latest rankings for the world’s biggest brands, and unsurprisingly Apple topped the list, with the top 10 being dominated by 6 technology firms.
Microsoft was top in 2006; Google in 2010; and now Apple - a good illustration of the competitive dynamics of the industries. A nice illustration of their change here.
The biggest riser was Facebook, but more interestingly, there was a surge of emerging market brands, including more than a few Chinese names.
The UK’s biggest brand was Vodafone followed by HSBC and Tesco.
