Biofuels and competitive supply

There are many different economic and social aspects of the expansion of global biofuel production. Some of them are shown in the related blog entries below

One AS micro concept linked to biofuels is that of competitive supply

Goods and services in competitive supply are alternative products that a business could make with its factor resources of land, labour and capital.  A topical example of this is the diversion of land used in supplying food to producing bio-fuels and the impact this has had on global food prices.
