Read on for a brilliant and amusing video explaining what a recession actually is…

I’ve just introduced the concept of economic growth to my AS students and felt I couldn’t not consider this in the context of the worldwide recession, but wanted an easy way to explain what a recession actually is, so here’s a fantastic and amusing video from down under that does exactly that:

Of course, this is made even more ironic by the fact that Australia was one of the few countries to avoid the recession, largely thanks to China’s massive demand for the country’s abundant raw materials.
