A Year to Remember for the Keynes Society

David Smith from the Sunday Times was on sparkling form last night when his presentation and discussion on the state of the UK economy rounded off a very busy year for the Keynes Society. I will blog about his talk later on today and supplement with some charts that are spot on for students preparing for their summer papers.

It was a delight to welcome some new schools to the meeting last night and to meet up again with friends from past events. A warm welcome is extended to colleagues who are within travelling distance, the events are very informal and have provided for me over the last ten years some of the best CPD available! I will post up some forthcoming meetings later on this summer although I am now passing on the baton to a colleague and focusing instead on building up our Entrepreneurship Society.

The speaker programme for 2009-10 has been full and varied and I thank the students for their persistence and tenacity in organising some terrific meetings since September.
