Will King to Speak at the BTNC on 30 June 2011

Fantastic news for all business teachers attending the Business Teacher National Conference on Thursday 30 June 2011. The final speaker slot has been confirmed as Will King, the founder & CEO of King of Shaves, has kindly agreed to join us. More details below about this must-attend CPD day…
Eighteen years ago after being made redundant from an advertising and marketing role, Will King decided he wanted to be his own boss and set up the shaving oils business King of Shaves with seed capital of £15,000.
Since then, Will King has added just £4m of external investment to that figure as the business has grown to a turnover of £13m.
Now Will faces his biggest challenge. In 2011 the business is going head-to-head with Gillette, one of the worlds leading brands, which was bought by Procter and Gamble five years ago for £36bn. Both brands are launching new razors; both are targeting the US and UK market.
This isn’t even David versus Goliath battle. This is Goliath versus David’s kid brother. Can Will and his team overcome the marketing might of a global giant? We’ll be able to hear from the man himself - on Thursday 30 June 2011.
Will King is one of four main speakers/presenters at the BTNC, which is the leading CPD conference for business & enterprise teachers and lecturers. For 2011 the other speakers are:
Sir Terry Leahy - CEO Tesco plc
Kirsty Henshaw - Founder of Worthenshaws & Dragons Den Star
Graham Prior (“Lord Sutch”) - the most popular Business Studies blogger in the UK!
