Here is a real job description for a job vacancy currently being handled by head hunters. The job?  Head Coach for the England Rugby Team. A great example of how the functional areas of a business (in this case HRM) link through the the corporate (or strategic) objectives of an organisation.

You can read the full job description here.

There are quite a few references to objectives in the job description:

The Head Coach will:

“produce and implement a winning team strategy” (including the Rugby World Cup in 2015)

“lead and develop a culture of success and shared values”

“...ensure a high performing team culture”

“lead the people and processes required to create a successful England Tea,”

...and most intriguingly of all…

“Win the hearts and minds of the supporters, sponsors, clubs and the game in England as a whole to support and promote the England Rugby brand.”

Anyone fancy the job?
