Love this article in the Independent which examines why soul superstar Adele looks destined for long-term, not just short-term success.  There are some key business lessons in there for students.  Adele point-blank refuses to diversify from her core music product - the album.  No festival performances; no arena gigs; no selling her tracks to be used in advertising.  She’d rather stay focused on her core audience and provide them with value (no more album re-release rip-offs).  Porter would love this approach - focused differentiation.  A recipe for long-term business success rather than selling her soul for short-term financial gain.
