Starter activity - Memory Challenge
Here is a fun starter activity which is quick and easy to set up and provides a good way of reviewing the many technical terms students encounter on business courses…
The idea of memory challenge in a nutshell is this:
- A number of terms are displayed on screen - somewhere between 10-15 is ideal
- Students are asked to memorise the terms shown
- The terms disappear after a pre-determined time
- Students are asked to challenge their memory by writing the terms down (precise answers only) + providing a concise definition of each
There are many variations on this approach. But the above is good to try first time.
We’ve created a PowerPoint which you can use to try Memory Challenge out. This one has 10 key terms from finance - but you can easily edit these to suit whatever topic you are teaching or revising.
