Smartphones ARE taking over the world

Whilst chatting in the pub last week with a friend who works as a plumber, he mentioned a new app he had on his iphone, which I would never have thought of before - a spirit level. This got us talking and thinking about products that you no longer have to buy if you have the right smartphone app. When I put the idea to my classes as a starter activity we came up with 50 products, which are listed below.

The real implications of this obviously are for the manufacturers of those products - how can they compete and still manage to sell their wares? What USPs can they find?
