Recession Buster - Dominos On the March
Recommend on Google+
Students looking for a suitable strategy case study to research how a business can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the recent recession in the UK would do well to spend some time looking at Dominos UK.
As luck would have it (for AQA BUSS4 students), Dominos UK published its 2009 full year results today. Pretty impressive they are too. We are doing some detailed research and analysis of Dominos Uk strategy as part of our AQA BUSS4 Research Toolkit - the story is packed full with fantastic insights that can be used in Section A answers.
Some links to the press coverage of the results below. I like Chris Moore’s summary comment today:
‘We continue to succeed, even in the current harsh economic conditions, because of our unrelenting focus on the quality of our pizzas, intense devotion to service and by marketing to our customers when and where they want to order. It is this passion that has delivered profit growth of 27.8% to £29.9m (2008: £23.4m) and that will continue to drive our business in years to come.”
