How two Econ/Business departments are using Facebook with students

Facebook is a dirty word for some schools (and the IT Stasi in a fair few LEAs).  But for others it provides another, 21st century platform for engaging with students as a direct part of their studies.  Here are two examples i came across recently…

The two departments take a similar, effective approach.  A dedicated department page has been set up in FB and is populated with resource suggestions from the department team.  Take a look to see what I mean:
